Port Robinson, North Canterbury 8.50am

Fine and hot! Hazy high cloud at times. Temperature 25.1° after a low of just 21.1° at 4.51am. The high at the moment was 26.1° half an hour ago and it is predicted to go up to near 30°. wind is from the NW at around 4-8kph with a gust of 16kph in the last hour.

We are surrounded by low cloud, being pushed along by a NW wind, so much for the fine Sunday forecast

Wind 6.1km/h  need stronger to help move this heat.

Invercargill 1440hrs.

After 12mm of rain in the early hours the day dawned fine and temp shot up to a 23.9c on a NW breeze before a strong cool SW change came in late morning bringing a few spots of rain (Not enough to register 0.2mm on wx station). Currently at 1440hrs there is a clear blue sky with a very strong cool SW wind gusting between 50 & 60kph and temp of 17.5c
