Port Robinson, North Canterbury 8.20am

Fine and clear. Temperature 23.6° after a low of 14.7°. Expecting a high of up to 27°. Very light SE breeze of 1-2kph. No rain over the past 24hrs.

Update - Port Robinson, North Canterbury 10.30am

High cloud cover and a very strong ESE wind has sprung up gusting up to 35kph. Average speed is around 13kph. Temperature has dropped to 20.3°

New Plymouth: very hot: just on 30 degrees at met service site but only 26% humidity. Sunny, some haze about.

Been cold with drizzle. Not nice after yesterdays high of 32C.
