Observation: Rain, Glorious Rain! As I write this my Station has just flipped over to 1.5mm which is more than we have had at any one time since 17th November. that is 18 days which would normally not be that bad but at least 10 of those days has seen that pesky SW wind at 30+ km/hr which has probably had the effect of making it seem more like 30 days without rain although I was encouraged on Sunday when I dug a 1 metre deep post hole that the clay at the bottom was still moist enough to keep its shape when compressed in the palm of my hand - good for larger plants & trees but pretty grim for smaller plants and grass unless irrigated or watered. Still just showers since about 7:15pm tonight so lets hope that we do actually see some reasonable rainfall from this weather system over the next couple of days.

Current Recordings: Temp: 14.1c Steady, Humidty 95%, Rain: 1.5 mm, Average Wind Speed (10 Mins) 3km/h ENE, Pressure 1012.4 hPa Rising.
