We have got a lot less cloud cover about the North Island than we did 24 hours ago. Hamilton, Gisborne and Rotorua all have quite a bit of sunshine this morning. Auckland has some sunshine mixed in with a fair amount of clouds.
The lower NI, including Wellington, is still bit on the cloudy side.
Many South Island locations are also cloudy including; Greymouth, Nelson and Christchurch.
Some rather breezy conditions were found about many parts of the country.
Temperatures at 10am included 12 at Gore, 15 at Invercargill, 16 at Dunedin, 17 at Christchurch, 18 at Auckland, 20 at Tauranga, 21 at Gisborne and 23 at Hamilton.

Observation: The weather Monotony continues, another warm Spring day. A bit of high level cloud today but not enough to dampen the heat of the Sun too much at all. We also saw some nice lenticulars in the early afternoon and a reasonable Wave form standing off the Kaimai's this evening Bit of cloud about tonight making the almost full moon a bit fuzzy round the edges and quite dull, the wind has dropped a bit after being quite steady from the SW to W all day.
Current Recordings: Temp: 12.5c Going down, Humidty 83%, Rain: 0.0 mm, Average Wind Speed (10 Mins) 17 km/h SW, Pressure 1014.8 hPa Rising.
