A pity we are missing one of the original stations - with the Davis - as he has shifted house to a steep hillside almost enclosed by trees.  That was Arthurh and he was having some cabling and comms issues that he couldn't solve so he just quit.  But he may start up again in summer :)  We just need to plan a day for us all to help with a BBQ at the end... LOL!

Good to have you here - you are in a selected rural location there different to the others in the region.  Also some more discussion on astronomical projects and views will be great!

Just got a notice that Webshots is closing in about a month's time and no new pix can be uploaded. blimmin them! New site will be pay only and it does not look very good, one page for all photo's. Hi All,

Just a note that the Kelson website (Kelson weather (http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/intrepid/)) is no longer active!

Seems I have been lucky its been working this long after we went to fibre broadband! Some issue about connection from the vodafone fibre server and the paradise website!

Will sort out another site soon but all the weather info is also available via Weather Underground - (IWELLINGTON50)

I've got two currently; The newest one is at Sandy Bay, Port Charles. Its currently the northern most one on the MetService YourWeather thing for the Coromandel peninsular:

Hi Admin,
My website is going to be off-line for a couple of days until I can get to it to sort a problem out.
All of a sudden the NAS box won't talk to the outside world through port 80. I've reinstalled the webserver software remotely and checked the router is port forwarding, but no joy. FTP and remote access works fine, so I'm scratching my head. I have a spare, but I can't get up to Port Robinson until Wednesday to swap it over.  The station is still sending data to WU.

I can get to the weather station through remote software and I'll post the station Yesterday's highs and lows.

Synology have issued a new version of their OS and it's full of bugs. Unfortunately one can't reinstall earlier versions. {sigh}

Well!
I've finally got to the bottom of it. Connected my working NAS up and still no joy, so I emailed the wireless internet provider (Amuri.net) to see whether they were blocking port 80. Turns out they are. Apparently there's a worm which infects the particular brand of wireless receiver used in the network, so Sunday night they blocked port 80 and 22.
They're sussing out a work-around to get me going again which hopefully won't be too long.
