Independent weatherman Philip Duncan has hit out at the country's official forecaster, claiming the MetService was too slow issuing a severe weather warning for Auckland at the weekend.....

the warning that was eventualy issued was too late for western waikato/auckland area
but would have given a heads up for eastern coromandel area, that got the period of severe gales a coupld of hours after they went through the western side
