Yesterday, the incoming low triggered the K9 storm warning system again - the dog became very nervous and retreated to her safe spot (our bedroom :) )
It's very interesting - she has done this before when we have had storms coming in. She definitely seems to know something is happening before there's any real evidence of wind picking up or anything, and she clearly seems to think that we should be retreating to safety with her.
Pressure was dropping fairly fast at the time - about -1 hPa per hour.

Derek good to hear from you. Yes dogs do have an inbuilt senses that I can guarantee. She has not appeared to do that with a storm as I have noticed as we rarely get them - but with the quakes we have had. She has now stopped barking with each one - even though we no longer feel all of them - but she goes to her safe area too - either my bedroom or if working in my office - to under the desk.

I know some people who had some aches and pains the day before too...i.e sore joints...I had a sore knee myself..not sure if just an association thing...
