Tokoroa - 1:30pm

Almost clear sky this morning is now mostly cloudy and the wind has picked up gusting to 35km/hr from NNE.  After an O/N low of 5.3ºC, the bright spots between passing clouds has reached a high of 15.9ºC right now.  Not the warmth of yesterday, but the breeze was annoying then as it is now too.  Not a bad day though...

A mild sunny day, managed to get the lawns mowed ( finally), washed both vehicles, driveway cleaned of leaves and several loads of washing done, now about to start the shredder and put through all of garden and tree clippings, hopefully have this finished by 2-30 so that I can watch the rugby and not feel guilty about doing it!

Title: Sunday's national forecast
Post by: OhauitiWeather on September 03, 2012, 09:04:36 PM
A wet day is on the way for the western South Island today.  A front will move very slowly onshore and combine with plenty of moisture to keep rain going throughout the day for the West Coast and Nelson.  Heavy rain is also possible.

A few showers are also expected about Marlborough and northern Canterbury today.  Showers could develop for the rest of the South Island later this afternoon and tonight.

The North Island will fairly cloudy today, but should remain dry during the daylight hours.  Showers may develop well after dark tonight.  The best chance for that will be about Northland, Auckland, the Bay of Plenty, Taranaki and the Central Plateau.

The front will continue its eastward trek tomorrow and bring rain to most of the country.

It’s been a fairly cloudy and breezy here in the Waikato today.  In fact, it’s been fairly cloudy and breezy all over the North Island.

Now things are turning a bit wet at the top of the island with showers already being reported about Northland.

On the South Island, there have been plenty of clouds has well.  Rain is still falling on the West Coast and parts of Otago.

Temperatures at last report ranged from 11 at Invercargill to 17 at Hamilton.  Auckland was 16, Christchurch was 15, Dunedin was 14 and Wellington was 14.
