Title: Friday’s national forecast
Post by: OhauitiWeather on July 20, 2012, 06:51:31 PM
Easterly breezes north of Auckland, also about the Bay of Plenty and East Cape with sunny areas and some cloud, perhaps a bit cloudier right on the eastern coastline north of Auckland. Easterlies should get a little gusty later in the day about Northland also. Light winds for the rest of the North Island with mostly sunny weather, fog patches possible again about the Waikato and Central North Island in the morning.

High’s once again around the mid teen mark, perhaps getting to 17 in Northland. Cooler in the Central North Island with high’s in the low double figures.

Mostly sunny in the South Island with light winds. Some cloud and sunny breaks on the West Coast, drizzle patches at times in Fiordland once again. It should remain mostly sunny at least north of Westport although there will be some thin high cloud. High cloud again out east with mid teen temperatures north of around Ashburton. A chance temperatures may get to 17 in Christchurch for the afternoon. South of Ashburton and along the West Coast high’s of 13 to 14 can be expected today.

Waitakere

Mostly cloudy today but some sunny periods - got to a high of 15.7°C just before midday, now down to 10.6°C.  Still cloudy so don't expect a particularly cold night.
