Just adding this at least as a thread and we can make into a sub-board later on.
-
Hope this is the proper place to post this. Oh well here we go :D
I seemed to have a developed an issue with my -
1.) Current Month Records - http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsmonthly.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsmonthly.php) Wind reporting the Maximum Wind Gust 103.6 km/h (this isn't the proper reading).
The proper reading is shown in my http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout.html (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout.html) at 90.7 km/h on the 9th.
2.) Current Year Records - http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsyearly.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsyearly.php) is showing Maximum Wind Gust 118.4 km/h 3/3/2012.
Yet again the proper reading shows in my http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout32012.html (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout32012.html) at 103.6 km/h on the 3rd.
3.) All-Time Records http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsalltime.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsalltime.php) showing a max wind gust of Maximum Wind Gust 127.7 km/h 8/15/2011.
The reading again is properly recorded in the http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout82011.html (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/climatedataout82011.html) at 111.0 for Aug 15th of 2011.
How do I fix this? So that the proper readings are displayed in the wxrecords section.
I should mention the readings are showing properly in Station Reports http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxtempdetail.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxtempdetail.php), when I crossed checked the numbers. The numbers in this area are showing the numbers that are in the climatedataout.

Ok just checked, all good here. I guess your clientraw.txt was correct on those days.
Meanwhile my unqualified guess would be head to Averages and Extremes. See if you can change them under there. That script you linked to above reads those I think :)
Deano will know :)
-
To alter Averages/ Extremes I go to View.
Averages & Extremes.
Select the date I want.
Click on Correct/Check the data.
In next window Click on Check Data alignment in the Log file.
Chose the time from the list on the left.
Alter up top on right.
Save.
See if that works otherwise I am sure others, especially Mr Weather Display will be able to help :)
-
Azzurra, I would go into "View, "Recreate Web Av/Ext" page.
Choose the month & Year in question.
Reset webpage Average-Extreme.
Let us know...

Too Late, Sorry JL
-
you are not though comparing exactly apples with apples
there are 1 things you are comparing
all time records, which is the record as and when the value occured
the other values you are looking at, e.g detailed climate report, are derived from the data files
which has max gust data for each minute logged
I have just checked my own data, and the current month max gust matches between those 2 values
http://www.weather-display.com/windy/gb/climatedataout.html
http://www.weather-display.com/windy/gb/alltimerecordsmonth.gif
and for the year, it matches as well:
http://www.weather-display.com/windy/gb/climatedatayearout2012.html
http://www.weather-display.com/windy/gb/alltimerecordsyear.gif
I did not reach an all time record this year or month so I can not check on that
why do you think the correct readings are not the all time records?
-
Absolutely not Deano. I am trying to help him but I am guessing big time here.
Thank you Deano :)
-
Looking at the link to his all time records he is using a WX script.
This script is reading the dailynoaareports for its information.
So next question is what does the dailynoaareports read please?
-
I know for a fact my reading on Aug 15th was 111 km/h and not the 127 km/h being reported in the All-Time Records http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsalltime.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxrecordsalltime.php). I was home and saw the reading as it happened.
I've pretty much always remembered any significant wind readings and or been home when they have happened.
I know the wind speed records for month, year and all time are not displaying the proper readings as I was here to witness them.
-
the dailynoaareport uses the data files as well
you can set the correct all time records
via action, reset/set all time records
I wonder if its a units problem
ie does setting to show knots instead of kmh make the data line up?
(will not affect the data)
-
When I view the days in each of those months in Noaa area of WD I see the proper wind speeds I have witnessed. But these are not being reflected in/on my sites Monthly, Current Year to date or All-Time Records.
-
Thanks you for answer :)
Strange then that his noaareports and records are out of sink.
Think I will stick to cake baking :)
-
Putting in knots doesn't seem to help.
If I do a reset of these extremes...will it repopulate the records with the old data since the station/WD has been recording?
I think this will end up being a band aid fix as the last time I had an issue with the wind gust being reported wrong.... in the wxrecords was as early as Sept 9th. If it keeps happening every month..i'll have to fix it for each recurring monthly wxrecord.

I don't think it repopulates.
You could use "enter all-time extreme". (next option down)
That will let you choose month, year or all-time record and time of occurrence.
-
you can re populate (i.e re calculate) if you select to covert all logfiles to data files, via action, convert WD logfiles to data files
but you would want to make sure your logfiles are in good order

I ended up putting the data in manually. Seems now to be all sorted..thnks everyone. Hopefully it stays true on to the next month and so on.
I'll have to remember to keep an eye on it for next month.
One more thing to sort (well 2 actually..i'll move onto Nov 2011 later) July 31st 2012-
I have to wonder if I caused this somehow (most likely). I was trying to fix (over the weekend) my rainfall rate for a day in July 2012 (when water got into my reed switch wires) and went about fixing the data reading all the wrong way (I can't even remember what I did).
July shows two days indicating July 30th now in the Averages/Extremes. When viewing Noaa Style Reports July 31st isn't there.
If you view my Station Reports (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxwinddetail.php (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxwinddetail.php)) you will notice July 31st is not being populated.
I have tried reset the web page ave/extreme with no change to the outcome.
Oddly enough if I go to Stations Monthly reports (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxhistory.php?date=201207 (http://mahutaweather.no-ip.org/wxhistory.php?date=201207)) and scroll down to July 31st, the days data is showing.
Sorry to be sucha a pain :-\
