Wet5 and soggy in Central Otago ... From what I am hearing via other sources heavy rainfall closer into the divide. At the moment the downpipes are getting a real good workout :-) ... a rare event for Sunny Central.
Check out the Clyde Web Cam ... looks more like Haast at the moment.

It's turned out brilliantly fine. 18.8° with only a gentle NW at the moment. Calm before the storm I guess. Off to golf which is a good way to ruin a good day.

Invercargill Weather.

This morning there has been a few spells of rain only amounting to 1.2mm. Overnight temp never got below 10c thanks to the fohn NW'r  very mild for down here this time of year. Currently still NW and temp has risen to 14.7c  this  likely to be due to the approach of the cold SW change.

Title: Saturday’s national forecast
Post by: OhauitiWeather on June 24, 2012, 01:47:32 AM
Mild temperatures on the east coast of the North Island today with increasing high cloud. Northwesterlies freshen about the Wairarapa in the morning spreading to other areas late afternoon, high’s will be upwards of 18 degrees so that is pretty choice for this time of year. Cloud increases during the day in western districts as northwesterlies increase, a few showers from late afternoon in Taranaki spread to other areas later at night, highs of 14 degrees further south up to 17 degrees in Northland. The Bay of Plenty can expect mostly sunny weather with increasing cloud and showers later at night, moderate northwesterly breezes there and a high of 15 degrees.

Mostly fine on the east coast of the South Island with north to northwesterly winds freshening and high cloud, mild with high’s around 16 degrees however a southwest change works it’s way north starting in Southland about midday spreading into Marlborough at midnight bringing showers. A few of those showers may be heavy in coastal areas around North Canterbury. Cloudy on the west coast, heavy rain with gusty northerlies easing to showers by evening as west to southwesterly winds develop. Strong northwesterlies about the top of the South Island, cloudy skies with a few showers turning to rain in the evening. High’s on the west coast and about Nelson of 13 to 14 degrees.
