Clear blue skies, sun streaming down, a huge improvement on yesterday

Yesterday started cold but it was brilliant! Harbour was very blue, lots of people around Oriental Bay. Even saw some (perhaps slightly crazy) young guys with a beach volley ball net set up - wearing only shorts. A classic clear SW case that we have had little of in the last couple of years - southerlies instead, partly explaining our lower sunshine over that time.

despite what seems like a cold snap, the wind is making the overnight temperatures not too bad at times
month to date so far I am running OK compared to "normal" for me

Has been a great on the eastern side of the valley but on the western side it has been cooler, the roads have not dried out.
Rain has just arrived here. hopefully not for long. Oh well time to sit back and watch the rugby on Tele.
