Description: The cold Sou Westers can strike us very hard, with high windspeeds and snow behind us. They can be a cracker sight in Cook Strait. This was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen, storm wise. 8 Aug 2014. After an S + SW front had passed over us. A very cold day.
