Description: Another Climate Change problem which has commenced in Paekakariki. This was a sleety rain storm during a passing Westerly trough on 26 January this year. Hail and minor snow fell as well. Caused by the cooler/drier mountain winds into the hot/moist Westerly. As it fell, we were 62 humidity. It brought SH1 to a complete standstill with cars stopping where they were due to nil visibility.
