Description: This one was me caught up in the updraft of a massive polar updraft storm, with big damned hail literally bouncing off my head and the smaller stuff bouncing off the road. The air temp was below zero and the windchill was way below 0C. It was so bitterly cold that it did our car battery in necessitating a callout for AA ... just 1 km away from home. We get the SE straight off Baring Head in Wellington and it is a real dog. It snows and sleets too with these storms.
