It does indeed, but today the airflow was near west, and there was very little wind late morning when this was taken. Later in the afternoon with the flow going more WSW/SW it died out completely.
I've done analyses of the directions of top hourly and daily gusts at Kelburn - on a 16-point compass, the 6 sectors ENE,E,ESE, W,WSW and W contribute only 4% of the maximum daily gusts. |
