Description: A spectacular sunrise over Invercargill this morning! High level clouds provided texture for the vivid red light to reflect off. The cause is a stubborn area of high pressure to the east of New Zealand, which will provide the necessary thick slab of atmosphere for the morning sunlight to travel through, scattering the longer wavelength red hues.
