| Shallow Polar Air Mass ex Antartica |

Description: A shallow polar air mass associated with high pressure is always our worst nightmare in Paekakariki. A line of very low down Stratocumulus crosses Wellington Harbour ex Baring Head, totally glaciates and then drops down off the hill and into us ... literally. The clouds sweep us at ground level, hitting us like a freezing cold storm. This is orographic weather gone mad, STRC belong in the sky, not down on the ground. This one hit us as a storm loaded with ice pellets. It snowed earlier on and during the night.
