Description: I took this lovely photo of Bounty Day two girls - holding onto their traditional Island hats- it was a little windy. On Bounty Day the local families dress period costumes and everyone celebrates Anniversary Day, this year was 159 years since the Pitcairners arrived on Norfolk Island in 8 June 1856. Queen Victoria had granted them permission to live on Norfolk Island - It was there new home after the penal settlement had been closed down and the convicts were moved to Tasmania.
