Just grotty, awake since 2am, humidity overdose, wet & then some, surface water all about & a tad breezy to boot.

Todays Rain - Opotiki, Eastern Bay of Plenty

Rainfall so far today 135.6mm & yep, it's wet.
You can tell that quite simply by stepping outside, the tide mark is left half way up the calf.
Also, the shower & basins were gurgling & backfilling & the dunny tried to overflow.
The good news is that the level has receded some 50 mm or so in the last 90 mins.
I expected some reduction around low tide just before midday, but I guess the system was chocka with the prior days fall.
