Title: Demolition ordered for QEII Park

We knew this was coming but it sad when it happens.
I think of all the good times iv had on the track and in the pool.

Demolition has been ordered for Christchurch's QEII Park.

The council has received a demolition notice from CERA for the ground's main stadium building, the covered stand and the north and south open stands.

It does not include the park's 50 metre pool which is in a separate building.
The complex has been closed since last year's February 22 earthquake

do you know how to get there?.
 Nga Puna Wai is accessed from Augustine Drive which is off Halswell Road.
If you are coming from the east, you turn right at the lights on Halswell Rd (200m past the end of Henderson Rd).

Ngā Puna Wai Sports Hub is the replacement facility for not only QEII Park but a number of earthquake damaged sports fields. When completed it will be the home of Canterbury athletics, hockey, tennis and rugby league. CTV was taken on a tour of the facility ahead of its opening next month.
