Thanks to Ross's engineering expertise you can use your cell phones in the tunnel plus listen to your FM radio stations! He is one clever dude..

Ross is a Senior Consultant Engineer and does a lot of other things that i will have to get him to tell you about, something to do with radio frequency?

Hey guys!  I did the comms for the tunnel...which includes FM radio rebroadcast (so your radio will continue to received signals inside the tunnel) and coordinating the cellular telcos so that you can use your cellphones inside the tunnel.  Also the comms for the tunnel maintenance workers and the emergency services so they can commnuicate with their respective control centres (Auckland Regional Authority, Ambulance, Fire and Police).
