Wairoa, Northern Hawkes Bay.

After all my moaning and groaning in the Weather Shout box it is now official.
January 2017 is the driest January and driest month I have on record or have data access to.
2017 - 4.2mm

Previous January totals:

2015 - 22.5
2009 - 38.1
2014 - 35.7
2008 - 29.0

Below Top 10 Driest months

With November only yielding 14.4mm and December 27.4, the last 3 months Rainfall total is 46mm

Needless to say it is extremely dry over here and our Fire Danger Levels are extreme.

Local Stations January Rainfall
Frasertown - 6.3
Gisborne - 1.5
Gisborne West - 10.8
Nuhaka - 15.2
and further south Napier 4.3mm,  14.6 for Otane and 9.2 for Waipukurau
